1. AEV (Automatic Expansion Valve)

   Each freeze barrel has its own AEV. The AEV maintains a constant low side pressure within the evaporator (foam pack) and is pre-set during manufacturing. The AEV maintains a constant 7-12 degree evaporator temperature with an approximate 4 degree superheat.

   (Superheat is the temperature of the refrigerant gas that is above the boiling point and is measured at the exit of the evaporator).

   Note: Do not adjust the AEV without talking to a Cornelius representative.

   Note: Only use factory replacement components.
