1. Accumulator

   The accumulator's primary function is to store liquid refrigerant that is exiting the evaporator (foam pack) to prevent it from reaching the compressor. If liquid refrigerant were to enter the compressor, it could cause damage as the compressor is not designed to pump liquid, only vapor.

   Note: Only use factory replacement components.
