Viper — Operation

1. Drive Motor & Run Capacitor

   The current motor used is manufactured by Brother gear motor and is different than our competition. The drive motor mounting and setup is initially done at the factory. The motor utilizes an external run capacitor with a rating of 450 volts and 4uF. The drive motor and run capacitor should only be replaced with direct factory replacement parts.

   
2. Seal & Drive Shaft Adaptor

   The rear seal in the back of the freeze barrel is replaceable from the front of the Viper. When installing the replacement seal lubricate the inside diameter only. Barrel seals should be replaced every 6 months during a scheduled PM. The drive shaft stainless steel adapter has a ceramic surface that the seal rides on and provides a liquid-tight seal while the adaptor is rotating or stopped.

   Note: Care should be taken when removing the seal not to damage the ceramic surface.
